We at Westmoreland have learned an awful lot about a lot of things over the years! We love to share this knowledge and experience. We know that businesses have to prioritize staff from time to time. Unfortunately, this may have left your operations is a tough situation where you have to rely on repeating what has been done in the past and hope everything stays the same or you have to rely on a product or installer representative to tell you what to do. Neither situation is optimum for you. Consider that the rep’s job is to sell product and services. It is not in their best interest to reduce their sales or work at your facility. As long as things stay the same, how do you know if you could do better?
We can walk through and evaluate your process equipment, linings, manufacturing needs, current practices, product choices, maintenance practices and problem areas. We will perform a thermal analysis of your process vessels to assess if there are problems with the current linings and provide suggestions on how to improve. If you’re doing everything right, we will tell you that as well! We will ascertain your needs and desires and make a determination if and how you may achieve these. We will provide a report and point out good practices and those that need modified.
If you would like product specifications, interchangeable product information and lining design help; we can do that too. Check out the ‘design’ tab.
We also work with many companies to help them develop new technologies involving high temperature processes. There are many new technologies being developed in the energy sector which require high process temperatures and unique processing environments and atmospheres. We consult with many of these companies and universities, providing insight as to what lining and barrier technologies currently exist. If necessary we can also provide ideas for new materials based on expected temperature performance capability and chemical compatibility with the intended process stream.
Westmoreland also provides legal consulting work and assessments for situations involving high temperature containment strategies and practices. We are very capable in providing opinion with regards to ‘the art’ in intellectual property conflicts. We will participate where third party insight and opinion can be beneficial in leading to amicable resolutions. Opinions provided are strictly based on sound scientific principals and established knowledge and experience.
